United Way to Offer Volunteer Management Certificate Program for Community Agencies

Presented by Experience Community Church

Through a partnership with the Center for Nonprofit Management, United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is offering a Volunteer Management Certificate Program designed for any community or nonprofit professional who currently supervises volunteers. The program is presented by Experience Community Church.

This Certificate Program is designed for those who work with volunteers or for an agency considering adding a new volunteer program to its organization. Participation in the Volunteer Management Certificate Program will include five half-day sessions on the topics of volunteer management, retention best practices, technology trends and more. After completing the courses, participants will receive accreditation from the Center for Nonprofit Management.

“We are thrilled to join with Experience Community Church to bring a new program to the Rutherford County community”, said McKenna Soloway, Director of Volunteer and Strategic Engagement for United Way. “The Volunteer Management Certificate Program will allow community service professionals to get accredited in a volunteer management certification, enhance their professional skills and increase their continuing education.”

The program will be hosted at Experience Community Church and is $99 per participant. Registration is available at http://www.yourlocaluw.org/volunteermanagement.
