United Way to Provide Online Volunteer Engagement Tool for Community

United Way to Provide Online Volunteer Engagement Tool for Community
Presented by Volunteer State Bank

The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is launching an interactive platform that allows individuals to see various ways they can make a difference in the community and agencies to promote their volunteer needs. This venue, presented by Volunteer State Bank, stands true to its name “Volunteer Connect” as it increases the potential for volunteer involvement in the community.

On March 7, 2017, community organizations will have access to a cost-free, user-friendly platform that increases reach and impact. Volunteer Connect builds upon a management database and keeps volunteers engaged for the long-haul. Organizations can post volunteer and event needs online while volunteers have the opportunity to align their passion with specific opportunities.

“I think the essence of what the United Way does, and how it performs, is because of volunteers,” said Chad Hill, Market President for Volunteer State Bank. “Volunteerism is something I am passionate about, and I’m excited and proud that our Volunteer State Bank team can be the presenting sponsor to help bring this software to our community.  Volunteer Connect is a much more efficient way to manage volunteers and will provide necessary data to show the impact value within our community.”

The Volunteer Connect software will launch on March 7, 2017, for all community organizations and volunteers in Rutherford and Cannon counties.
